Community Activities

Lambhill Stables building provides a focus for numerous community-led activities such as toddlers clubs, language lessons, photography club, walking group, family storytelling, spiritualist church, community council and MSP and councillor surgeries. We are the only provider of appropriate space for such activities in the immediate area.

Our café is already an important aspect of our community activities, as it focuses on providing simple, healthy food at an affordable cost, and uses ingredients from our community garden whenever possible.

We plan to further develop the café, with funding assistance from the Scottish Government, marketing it more proactively for the use of the community, visitors to Lambhill Stables and other passers-by.

We continually meet with local residents to identify areas of interest that can engage the community. Examples of specific activities that we have delivered over the past year include:

  • 4 Open Day events
  • Youth Activities including cycling and canoeing
  • Art Classes and sewing groups
  • History and Heritage Projects
  • Live Music Evenings
  • A weekly lunch club for older people
  • Activities for Toddlers and older children

We also run highly successful Open Days which showcase our range of activities.
